The Ancient Art of Weapondry. An Okinawa weapon is a weapon developed from farming tools and employed in the fighting system known as kobudo. The study of the traditional weapons associated with Ancient combat on Okinawa and elsewhere in Asia. Our program consists of learning skills with Ancient weapons such as ; the boken, nunchuka, bo, kama, and the Sai.
The weapons arose due to restrictions placed upon the peasants that meant they could not
carry arms. As a result they were defenseless and developed a fighting system around their traditional farming implements. Commonly used farming tools were the Bo Staff, the Nunchaku, Sai, and the Kama.
